A dedicated volunteer team of Internet people, web masters, programmers, and computer savvy helpers have built the Christchurch Earthquake Community Response site to coordinate help efforts. If you need help or can offer help, please go there.

Emergency Response

• Canterbury Earthquake Response information by Environment Canterbury - Extensive contact information.
• NZ Red Cross Their site is often overloaded.
• Emergency accommodation: Welfare centre in Hagley park will close this evening because of rain forecast. Cowles Stadium open now, Pioneer Stadium open from 6pm
• Animals: Canterbury SPCA after hours emergency number 027 534 9862 until Sat 26, for animal emergencies outside normal hours.

Help Offered:

• Quake Aid is an on-line database listing help offered and help needed that helps connect people offering help with those needing help.
• Accommodation: Quake Escape Over 480 offers of accommodation to those who need it
• Accommodation, transport, labour and pets at Trademe
